Student Policies & Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Welcome to Mr. Marion English Trainer (MET). These policies are designed to ensure a professional, fair, and organized learning experience for all students.
By registering for a MET course, making a payment, attending a session, or accessing course materials, the student confirms that they have read and accepted the following terms and conditions.
1. Registration and Course Placement
Some courses require an online placement test and/or an oral assessment before registration.
MET may recommend the most suitable course or level based on the student’s assessment results.
Completing a placement test does not reserve a seat.
A seat is confirmed only after the required payment has been received and confirmed by MET.
Students must provide accurate personal information, including their full English name, email address, and telephone number.
2. Course Fees and Payment
Students may pay the full course fee or, when approved by MET, use the following instalment arrangement:
50% of the course fee is paid to confirm the reservation.
The remaining 50% must be paid after the first session and no later than before the third session.
If the outstanding balance is not paid before the third session, the student’s attendance and access to course services may be suspended, and the reservation may be cancelled.
Once the course has started, the first payment is treated as a non-refundable reservation and cancellation fee.
A transfer screenshot or other proof of payment may be required.
Any advertised discount applies only during the stated offer period.
3. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refund requests must be submitted in writing through an official MET communication channel.
Before the course starts: The student is eligible for a full refund of the amount paid.
After the course starts but before the third scheduled session: MET will retain 50% of the total course fee as a cancellation fee. Any amount paid above this amount will be refunded.
From the third scheduled session onward: No refund will be available.
Refund eligibility is based on the official course schedule, regardless of whether the student attended the scheduled sessions.
Exceptional medical or emergency cases may be reviewed individually. Any exception remains subject to management approval and may require supporting documentation.
4. Attendance and Punctuality
Students must attend at least 7 out of 10 sessions to meet the minimum attendance requirement.
Students should arrive or join online sessions on time.
If a student cannot attend, they should inform MET before the session whenever possible.
Failure to attend a session does not entitle the student to a refund.
Repeated lateness or absence may affect the student’s progress and eligibility for certification.
5. Missed Sessions
Group-course sessions follow a fixed schedule and cannot normally be repeated individually.
When possible, MET may allow a student to attend the same session with another group.
Make-up sessions depend entirely on the availability and progress of other groups and are not guaranteed.
Missed sessions cannot be converted into private lessons, cash refunds, or credit unless approved in writing by MET.
6. Schedule and Group Changes
Students should select their preferred schedule before confirming their registration.
Requests to change the group or schedule should be made before the course begins.
After the first session, students are not entitled to change their confirmed schedule or group.
Any exceptional change is subject to seat availability and written approval from MET.
Courses cannot normally be paused, frozen, or resumed at a later date after they have started.
7. Course Changes by MET
MET may make reasonable changes to the starting date, timetable, instructor, classroom, or online platform when necessary.
If MET cancels a session, a replacement session will be arranged. Students will be informed of any significant changes through the contact details provided during registration.
8. Assignments and Course Requirements
Students are expected to:
Complete the required assignments, quizzes, and practical tasks.
Submit work within the announced deadlines.
Participate actively and respectfully during sessions.
Complete the final project or presentation when it is part of the course requirements.
Follow the trainer’s academic and professional instructions.
Failure to complete these requirements may affect course completion and certificate eligibility.
9. Certificate Requirements
A MET certificate is issued only when the student:
Meets the minimum attendance requirement.
Completes the final project or presentation.
Completes the required course assignments and assessments.
Pays the full course fee.
Successfully completes the course requirements.
Participation alone does not automatically guarantee a certificate.
10. Course Materials and Intellectual Property
Course materials are provided for the registered student’s personal educational use only.
Students may not copy, sell, publish, upload, distribute, or share MET materials with other people.
Online account access and learning materials may not be shared with anyone else.
MET presentations, worksheets, videos, assessments, course structures, and branded content remain the intellectual property of MET or their respective copyright owners.
Sessions may not be recorded without written permission from MET and the trainer.
11. Student Conduct
MET is committed to maintaining a respectful and professional learning environment.
Harassment, discrimination, offensive language, threats, disruptive behaviour, or inappropriate communication with trainers, employees, or other students will not be accepted.
MET reserves the right to remove a student from a session or course in serious or repeated cases. Refund eligibility, if any, will be determined according to the refund policy and the circumstances of the case.
12. Photos, Videos, and Testimonials
MET will request permission before using an identifiable student photograph, video, presentation, or testimonial for marketing purposes.
Students may decline marketing participation without affecting their course registration or learning experience.
13. Communication
Students are responsible for regularly checking the WhatsApp number, email address, or group used for official course communication.
MET is not responsible for missed announcements resulting from incorrect contact information, unread messages, or the student leaving or muting an official communication group.
14. Private and Corporate Training
Private courses and corporate training programs may have customized schedules, payment arrangements, cancellation terms, and course requirements.
Where a separate written agreement exists, the conditions in that agreement will take priority over this general policy.
15. Acceptance of These Policies
Registration and payment confirm the student’s acceptance of these policies.
MET reserves the right to update these policies when necessary. Any updated version will be published on the official website with its effective date. Confirmed registrations will remain subject to the policies accepted at the time of registration unless a change is required by applicable law.
